The purpose of criminology is to prevent and possibly stop crime from occurring, protect those individuals from possible crime, and to help those criminal offenders with possible rehabilitation. There are a lot of courses that one can consider with taking a degree in criminology. Law enforcement, criminal justice, and policy making and administration are just some of your choices.
Law enforcement includes becoming a police officer, parole officer or airport security. Criminal justice includes criminal investigator, criminal attorney and judge as well as policy making and law enforcement administrator and legislator. The choice is yours when you decide to serve and protect those people around you but of course you know you will not go wrong since your intentions are pure.
